My Favourite Childhood TV Programmes – Part 2

Continued from Part 1, the next installment. Down the memory lane.

Life was full of laughter when we grew up in the 70s and 80s. Despite the frequent ‘Rancangan Tergendala Sebentar’, black & white TV, no remote control, we had fun. Even with 2 or 3 channels, we still argued on which channel to watch with our bro & sis (and sometimes parents too!). Now our kids are spoiled with loads of channels.

To those who posted their comments in Part 1, thanks loads! It made me smile sampai telinga . I wonder what happen to my cupboard TV set. You never realize U miss something until you are far apart. Now I miss my first electronic game/gadget – Game & Watch. Sorry for off-tracking a bit, but I do miss my Game & Watch. Lucky my bantal busuk still around, ahaks!

Cerita apa lagi ye……

16.MORK & MINDY – Mork calling Orson, come in Orson. Nano-Nano. Mork, an alien who comes to Earth from the planet Ork in a large egg-shaped space ship. Starring Robin Williams and Pam Dawber

17.SHERIFF LOBO – not to forget Deputy Perkins too.

18.CHARLIE’S ANGELS – original punya... Once upon a time there were 3 little girls who went to police academy .... Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson, Cheryl Ladd, Farah Fawcett and whatever lah.... of all the characters Bosley is the best eventhough he is not an angel. I waited and waited for many series for Charlie’s face to pop up. Sampai sekarang tak dapat-dapat.

19.INCREDIBLE HULK – “Mr. McGee, please don’t make me angry. You won’t like me when I’m angry!”.... lepas tu turn green. There was such thing as 'good monster'.

20.GILLIGAN’S ISLAND –

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale

A tale of a fateful trip

that started from this tropic port

aboard this tiny ship.

21.THE MAN FROM ATLANTIS – Starring Patrick Duffy, believed to be the only surviving citizen of the lost civilization of Atlantis. Asyik berenang je mamat ni. His hands macam kaki itik, he he he

22.Happy Days – singing the song made us happy

Sunday, Monday, Happy Days,

Tuesday, Wednesday, Happy Days,

Thursday, Friday, Happy Days,

Saturday, what a day,

Rockin all week with you.

This day is ours

Won't you be mine. (Oh Happy Days)

This day is ours (Oh Happy Days)

Oh please be mine.

Hello sunshine, goodbye rain,

She's wearing my high school ring on her chain.

She's my steady, I'm her man,

I'm gonna love her all I can.

(Chorus)

Gonna cruise her round the town,

Show everybody what I've found

Rock'n'roll with all my friends

Hopin' the music never ends.

These Happy Days are yours and mine (oh Happy Days)

These Happy Days are yours and mine (oh Happy Days)

These Happy Days are yours and mine, Happy Days.

23.TWILIGHT ZONE – do not enter the zone, else ........ eeee….. takut!, Tutup mata dengan bantal busuk

24.HIGH CHAPARRAL – the ever smiling Manolito Mantoya

25.HAWAII FIVE-0 – Aloha............ the theme song is superb!

26.LAVERNE & SHIRLEY – A buddy comedy, Penny and Cindy. That’s what friends are always for. I learned about friendship from the series. Sanggup tunggu pukul 11 malam nak tengok.

27.THE LOVE BOAT – bila naik boat je mesti ada yang jatuh cinta.

28.SHA NA NA – Time to rock' n' roll. “Good night sweetheart, it’s time to go, pom-pom-pom-pom”..I could recall Bowzer putting up his hand, showing his muscle & Lennie with his saxophone. And our kids thought High School Musical is cool when the cast jump at the end of the show. We have seen the act much earlier in Sha Na Na, jumping all together at the end of the show. Sorry dear, Mummy makan garam dulu.

29.BUCK ROGERS IN THE 21ST CENTURY – futuristic. Masa tu kira hi-tech sangat dah tu. Tak Nampak pulak dia pakai iPhone.

30.KOJAK – dulu kalau orang botak je panggil Kojak

And there were many many many...... more.

Priceless experience that can never be bought – our childhood TV programmes.

Zaman berubah. So do we. Don’t we?
