Coaching requires extreme patience and passion. There will be times to accept that receiver has reached maximum capability and can improve no more, no matter what you do and how noble your intention is for them to improve. Move on and don't despair. What you see might not be what they can see too. Different people have different brain and will power. Our basics are not necessarily basics for others.
We need to be reminded that one's maximum potential is beyond our control and sometimes with noble intention we think one can still be pushed, but we just gotta accept that can't happen sometimes. The outcome of all affairs is determined by God's Decree. We make the best effort we can to coach while knowing that the result is in God's Hand.
For us it is like expecting a fish to swim creatively to reach to a destination but for the receiver we are expecting a fish to climb a tree. Meaning, in our world view we are expecting the possible, but for the receiver, we are expecting the impossible. May we know the right signal when the time comes so that we will not be expecting a fish to climb a tree.
May God help us to be good coaches with noble intentions.
